The sports bar theme is one of the most popular, as it allows you to tie the decor into your favorite team’s colors and graphics. In love with the Lakers? Mad for Manchester City? You now have have a home for all the flags, scarves, and shirts you have accumulated over the years. Signed gloves, balls, and clothing also make great centerpieces.

Another great idea for a games room is a casino theme. For this, you want to combine greens, reds, and dark wood touches with plush fabrics like velvet. The final look is one best suited to a pop art style or a modernist home. Alternatively, if the games room is going to be one for PlayStation, Xbox or PC gamers, this look will never go out of fashion. It is also a great place to keep all those old videogames and merchandise in display cabinets and on shelves.
The arcade look works best when dark, black walls are combined with neon. You can do this with paint, adding flourishes or accents. Neon lights and signs will help add dramatic flair. Once the gaming chairs and desks are in, the room will always be set off perfectly by an arcade cabinet. Luckily, these can now be bought for reasonable prices in many toy stores.
